Special Events and Special Menus
During the typical month there are many special events that call for
customized menus.
 This is where Chef Joe demonstrates his talents for creativity and presentation. Examples of these occasions are:
Sea Gals Luncheons or Fashion Shows: The ladies of the
Club gather monthly for special events. The sponsor and the Chef jointly
develop the menus. Special soups, breads, entrees and desserts are the
result.
Monthly Dances and Entertainment Nights: These Saturday
Night Galas are a big part of the monthly calendar. The Main Dining Room is often
sold out and the menus are always unique to the event.
Trivia Night: This is a monthly event that has both menu
options and a Prime Rib buffet that is always well attended.
Seafood Buffet: This is a member favorite that occurs
throughout the year. It is a spectacular display and a great value.
TGIF: Friday night at BKYC is a huge event. The half
price drinks and the camaraderie of the event make this one of the
highlights of a typical week.
Sunday Brunch: Sundays, during the Season from
October through April, are a special occasion at Bird Key
Yacht Club…it’s when we present our Tropical Sunday Brunch. There are
juices, fruit plates, eggs, omelets cooked to order, the best waffles
this side of Belgium, bacon, sausages, biscuits and gravy, pastries….and
the list goes on and on. It’s clearly
one of the best values in the Club. |
